PG RATED MOVIES Some movies that the movie committee have chosen for upcoming movie nights may be rated PG. Although we feel that, based on the Motion Picture Rating system guidelines, this is an appropriate movie rating for most students enrolled at Cetronia, only you know your own child. We hope you will base your decision to see movies with this rating on your knowledge of your child's individual personality. If you determine that a PG rated movie is not appropriate for your family, we hope that you'll join us at one of the many G rated movie nights we have planned. Keep checking this website's Calendar section for upcoming movies and other events!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are we called a P.A.C. and other schools are called a PTO? What's in a name? We are called a Parents' Association of Cetronia because that's how we were organized many years ago. We function, though, as a P (Parent) T (Teacher) O (Organization). It is important to realize that our mission is to benefit the welfare of the children of Cetronia Elementary School, and what better way to do that than to support and work with the teachers and staff.
Do I need to pay dues to be a member? One of the best things about our Parent's Association is that there are absolutely NO DUES or fees. Every parent or guardian with a child enrolled in Cetronia Elementary School is automatically a member.
How do I become a Board Member? Membership of the P.A.C. Executive Board results from an open election every two years in April. You will be asked to nominate yourself or others for the offices. The by-laws state that in order to hold an office an eligible member will have been either a chairperson or volunteered 20 hours. In order to run for president, an eligible candidate has to have served on the board. One ballot will be given to each family. Our hope is that everyone will participate in this process.
When are the meetings held? Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday at 9 am in the staff lounge. All parents are encouraged and welcome to attend the meetings. We have also added two evening meetings to the calendar in order to accommodate parents and staff members who cannot attend morning meetings.
Who has the right to vote on issues? The P.A.C. Executive Board consists of a President, 4 Vice Presidents, a Secretary, and a Treasurer. At this time these are the only members who vote on issues at hand. A motion and a second on any issue will warrant a vote. The Parents' Association of Cetronia follows the guidelines provided by the bylaws attached to this welcome packet.
How can I get a copy of the meeting minutes? A copy of the previous months minutes will be housed at each bulletin board (located in the main and gym hallways) Please take a moment to review them if you'd like, and then replace them for anyone else to read. In the future the minutes will also be available on the newly established P.A.C. website http://www.cetroniaelementary.org/. Check it out as it is continually growing with information.
Why are there so many fundraisers? It is all about choices. We recognize that the fundraising paperwork can be overwhelming, especially to a new parent. Please understand, we in no way expect every family to participate in every fundraiser. Each family should pick and choose the fundraisers that work for their family. These fundraisers help fund the many things that P.A.C. accomplishes throughout the school year.
I have a great idea, how do I present it to the Board? The Parents' Association encourages new ideas for fundraising, events, etc. If you have something you would like to bring to a meeting for consideration please feel free to join us and share your information. If you feel you need more time than is allocated during open discussion time, please let the president or any board member know so that time can be specifically set-aside on the agenda for your presentation.
